Sales Account Manager at Staples, Inc. summary:

As a Sales Account Manager at Quill, a part of the Staples family, you will build and maintain long-term relationships with customers while effectively managing your book of business. Your role involves educating customers on products and services, consistently meeting sales targets, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance customer satisfaction. What you’ll be doing: 

  • Primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers
  • Effectively manage your book of business through productivity and pipeline management
  • Collaborate with internal business partners
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis
  • Manage existing customer accounts to drive sales and achieve profit margins
  • Consistently meet or exceed productivity metrics and goals
  • Build and develop internal and external business relationships
  • Make outbound sales calls to grow customer base
  • Educate our customers on our products, programs, and consolidation opportunities

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • 6 months+ of relevant experience in sales or customer service role
  • Effective communication (oral and written) and effective relationship building skills

 

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
  • Creative and cognitive thinking ability
  • High level of business acumen and sales strategy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust well to change
