Position Overview:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and a passion for optimizing network performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and minimal downtime
Implement and manage network security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and system upgrades
Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams
Support disaster recovery planning and execution for network systems
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in network engineering or a similar role
Strong experience with Cisco hardware and software (routers, switches, ASA/Firepower, Meraki, etc.)
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs
Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and security appliances
Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) strongly preferred
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Bonus Experience (Preferred):
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure)
Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies
Knowledge of VoIP systems and QoS
