What You Will Do The Wellness Promotion Specialist focuses on developing and executing a comprehensive employee wellness strategy across Sharp Healthcare, with a strong emphasis on wellness program promotion and marketing support. The Specialist is responsible for expanding access to wellness initiatives and programs for Sharp's workforce by ensuring that wellness resources and offerings are effectively promoted and executed. The goal is to achieve high engagement and employee satisfaction while delivering subject matter expertise across the Sharp HealthCare system. This position requires working closely with other departments/divisions, various external and internal vendors to ensure continuity of health program offerings. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Public Health, Marketing, or related field. 3 Years experience in health and wellness promotion or related. Driver's License - CA Department of Motor Vehicles -REQUIRED Preferred Qualifications Experience in health coaching and training. Other Qualification Requirements Utilizes reliable transportation and possesses adequate personal insurance coverage. Demonstrates clean driving record in accordance with requirements of the employer DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines. Wellness Coaching or Health Education certifications - Preferred Essential Functions Program Design, Research and Analysis In partnership with the rest of the well-being team, help identify emerging areas of well-being needs and areas of focus. In close collaboration with the rest of the Sharp Best Health team, responsible for leading wellness-related projects including development, implementation, and evaluation for effectiveness. Develop and oversee New Hire Outreach strategy to create awareness around Sharp Best Health Programs. Collaborate with Recruitment to incorporate wellness into talent recruitment strategies. Program Promotion and Marketing Develop educational and engagement content and awareness campaigns around Sharp Best Health programs and offerings leveraging various digital tools and platforms such as CMS, survey systems, Canva, StaffBase, and more. Serve as the lead contact for Sharp HealthCare’s Marketing and Communications team as well as Digital Team. Create and oversee program-based editorial calendars and promotional plans. Develop educational materials, including presentations, videos, blog articles, and trainings, to highlight the benefits of wellness programs and provide practical health information. Responsible for regular updates to Sharp Intranet, Sharpbesthealth.com and Sharp Best Health mobile platforms. Identifies and creates new strategies for effectively outreaching to Sharp employees, including the use of social media, and related technology. Employee Engagement and Training Regularly attend meetings, employee forums, and team huddles to promote and advocate for Sharp Best Health resources and increase awareness. Round clinical departments with health education, resources and activities on a regular basis. Develop in-house wellbeing curriculum and delivers the curriculum in a variety of formats including but not limited to virtual presentations and workshops, in-person trainings, and webinars. Plan and execute wellness initiatives like wellness assessments, fitness challenges, nutrition workshops, and stress management seminars. Acts as the primary resource for team members who have questions and concerns by efficiently and thoroughly monitoring all best health lines of communication (Sharp Best Health spokesperson). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to travel in order to perform the functions of the role (visit event sites, attend meetings and represent the organization at special events). Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey health information and engage employees. Strong understanding of marketing principles and experience in developing creative promotional and educational campaigns. Basic knowledge of health and wellness concepts, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and preventative health. Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate marketing and promotional efforts effectiveness. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple wellness programs simultaneously.
