JOB DESCRIPTION

Gauging patients' psychiatric states. Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans. Administering psychotropic and similar medications. Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens. Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features. Restraining, consoling, and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients. Recording patients' health journeys and reporting on notable alterations. Conducting targeted psychoeducation, particularly within families.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Minimum two years LPN experience required. Two year of psychiatry LPN experience required License/Certification: Active unencumbered LPN Massachusetts license Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support Requirements: COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
