As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a major distribution center in the retail sector, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and vendors. Your primary responsibilities will include managing access control, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence at the front desk. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible and approachable demeanor, while also delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. This role requires comfort with using computers or tablets to log visitor information and monitor entry points. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or delivery personnel to address inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activities, or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, maintaining composure and following instructions from Allied Universal and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license required in the state where the job is located.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
