As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment within a residential community. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols throughout the location, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with residents and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of reliability, agility, and integrity. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of individuals and vehicles within the residential community.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activity, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local authorities as required to support security-related operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
