Job Description

Summary of Duties:

Welcome desk receptionist reports to General Manager and is responsible for guiding public visitors to the appropriate area in the building, occasional office administrative projects and checking in clients, vendors and guests during open museum hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform as a greeter at Historic Officer's Club at the Presidio's main desk welcoming visitors during hours of operation
• Answer basic questions about the museum's daily functions or special events
• Guide visitors to the appropriate buildings
• Occasional office administrative duties as needed
• Checking in clients and directing them to the appropriate location

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Detail-oriented approach to all tasks and duties

Education and Experience

• Experience as greeter, front desk receptionist, or host/hostess preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit or stand for extended periods
