Our office, Wichita Endodontics - East, is seeking a talented Patient Scheduler to join our busy specialty practice.

We are looking for a talented and skilled Patient Scheduler to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient. Your Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the phone room scheduler is providing a friendly, successful, informative, and supportive first contact for our patient and referral offices. This position works closely with the support staff team that includes front office, billing and insurance, and other schedulers, as well as interaction with members of the clinical team and Doctors.

  • Provide high-level customer service to our patients and referral offices via phone.
  • Utilize multi-line phone queue system to efficiently assist callers.
  • Direct callers to appropriate department for assistance, if not calling to schedule an appointment.
  • Assess, document, and dock patients to RN utilizing clinical messaging for post-surgical questions and concerns.
  • Accurately schedule patients for consultation and surgical procedure in the patient EMR system using appropriate policies and protocols.
  • Obtain appropriate insurance information and complete the insurance verification form accurately.
  • Educate patients on in-network insurance policies and protocols for out-of-network insurances.
  • Contact patients to reschedule their appointments due to schedule changes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested such as, but not limited to, patient registration queue, patient EMR data entry/scanning, referral office requests, and chart preparation.
  • Comply with all HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Follow and model the Practice's values and inspire others to achieve the same.

As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.

Your Background

The Patient Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care by effectively communicating and coordinating appointments. You also have the following:

  • X years of experience in a dental office, preferably as a patient scheduler or patient coordinator or in a similar patient-scheduling role
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and the dental team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in dental software and basic computer skills.
  • Understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
  • Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service.
  • A high school diploma.

Position Base Pay Range

$15.50—$19 USD
