This is a full-time position with Tecknomic supporting the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). This hybrid role requires onsite presence 3 days per week. Applicants must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination. This position closes on 7/11/2025 . Candidates must be local to the DMV area for this hybrid (3 days onsite) role. Senior Network Security Engineer II is responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and securing the OCFO network and security infrastructure. Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze data traffic patterns within the OCFO network infrastructure. Identify network problems and recommend improvements for optimal performance. Enhance network quality and security, staying informed about the latest threats and mitigation strategies. Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other appliances according to OCFO security standards. Monitor security measures to prevent breaches and unauthorized access. Respond to and resolve complex technical issues escalated to the Network Engineer level. Coordinate with relevant personnel for network improvements and communicate resolutions. Analyze incident trends to prevent future issues and improve customer service. Provide network design services. Work with the Infrastructure Services Group on network changes. Ensure adherence to network policies and manage production and disaster recovery networks. Perform forensic and packet analysis. Configure and operate network security monitoring and logging systems. Qualifications: Experience in building large-scale, multi-site network architectures. Experience with secure remote access/WAN technologies such as IPsec, VPN, etc. Knowledge of network-based and system-level attack mitigation methods. Experience with Cisco Firepower (NGFW) or Cisco ASA Firewalls. Experience with security routing protocols. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco ISE 2.0+, Cisco NGFW, Cisco AMP, and related security systems.
