Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician  

Bristol, TN | Full-Time | $16.00 - $20.00/hour

We're seeking a Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician to perform essential cleaning and maintenance of commercial kitchen exhaust systems. Whether you're experienced or eager to learn a new trade, we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to help you succeed in this vital role. 

Job Overview  

As a Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician, you'll help keep commercial kitchen exhaust systems clean and safe. You'll visit client sites to perform routine cleanings and maintenance, with the support of a team when needed. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and make a difference in fire safety. 

Key Responsibilities  

Cleaning and Maintenance   

  • Perform cleaning and degreasing of kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ductwork, filters, fans, and related components. 
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as pressure washers, ladders, and hoses. 
  • Ensure all work meets compliance with fire safety regulations. 

Travel and On-Site Work   

  • Drive company vehicles to job sites, ensuring timely arrival and efficient setup. 
  • Occasionally stay overnight for out-of-area jobs (approximately every few months). 

Documentation and Reporting   

  • Complete required documentation and submit inspection and cleaning reports promptly. 
  • Communicate any job-site issues or additional service needs to management. 

Who You Are  

We're looking for a responsible, motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow within a stable and rewarding industry. 

  • Reliable : A self-starter who is punctual, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team. 
  • Physically Fit : Comfortable climbing ladders and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. 
  • Team-Oriented : Collaborative and willing to assist on larger projects when needed. 
  • Adaptable : Open to working a nighttime schedule (6:00 PM - 4:00 AM) with occasional variations. 

Position Requirements  

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record. 
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and substance screening. 
  • Previous experience in electrical, mechanical, construction, or landscaping is a bonus but not required. 

Your First 90 Days with Us  

First 30 Days  

  • Participate in orientation and hands-on training to learn company protocols and equipment use. 
  • Shadow experienced technicians to gain practical knowledge and experience. 
  • Begin assisting with cleaning tasks under supervision. 

Next 30 Days (60 Days Total)  

  • Take ownership of routine cleaning tasks with guidance from team members. 
  • Gain confidence in using cleaning equipment and adhering to safety standards. 
  • Build relationships with clients and team members to foster trust and collaboration. 

By 90 Days  

  • Independently manage cleaning jobs with minimal supervision. 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. 
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to operational strategies.
