Job Description

As a Critical Systems Technician I, HVAC, you will work under the direct supervision of senior technicians to support the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of essential HVAC systems. Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians with the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of data center HVAC systems and supporting infrastructure.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment such as air and water-cooled chillers, centrifugal and screw package chillers, natural gas boilers, unit heaters, electric duct heaters, cooling towers, and water pumps.
  • Support the maintenance and operation of HVAC air distribution systems, including air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), fans, and related devices.
  • Work with pneumatic, direct digital control (DDC), and variable frequency drive (VFD) controls under supervision.
  • Maintain assigned equipment in a clean, efficient, and first-class operating condition.
  • Strive for continual improvement of technical skills through hands-on experience and trade literature.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and excel in the HVAC industry.
  • Perform after-hours assignments as required.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of HVAC service experience required; 2 years preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of refrigeration principles.
  • Working knowledge of basic electricity as it applies to HVAC systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to perform work thoroughly and neatly in accordance with industry standards, codes, and laws.
  • Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills in the HVAC field.
