Role Objective

The Event Staff Person plays a critical role in representing NFIL at community and promotional events. As the friendly, welcoming face of our firm, you will set up and maintain event booths, greet attendees, and spark meaningful conversations that inspire people to learn more about our services.

This is a subcontracted, as-needed role (part-time). We are building a team of 56 event staff members to support our growing calendar of events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with booth setup and breakdown before and after events.
  • Greet and warmly welcome attendees with professionalism and energy.
  • Engage visitors, answer basic questions, and generate interest in NFILs services.
  • Distribute promotional materials and informational brochures.
  • Represent NFILs mission and brand with authenticity and compassion.
  • Coordinate with event organizers and internal team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain an approachable, positive, and mission-driven presence throughout each event.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, outgoing, and personable.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in customer service, events, or promotions is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and engage with many people.
  • Knowledge of immigration issues is helpful but not required.

Compensation

  • Subcontracted, part-time, as-needed role.
  • Market rate estimated at $18$20 per hour (final rate determined based on experience and role scope).
