ProHealth is looking for an Entry-Level Patient Care Associate to support our expanding Family Medicine team.

In this role, you will be essential in ensuring a seamless patient experience by greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, managing phone inquiries, collecting payments, and maintaining up-to-date demographic information. You will regularly utilize our electronic health record (EHR) system in accordance with ProHealth guidelines.

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, between 8:30 AM - 5 PM EST

Location: 335 Highland Ave, Cheshire, CT (may provide coverage at nearby locations)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the check-in and check-out process.
  • Respond to incoming calls, documenting patient inquiries using the EHR.
  • Reach out to patients needing appointments or follow-up services.
  • Efficiently schedule appointments following established protocols.
  • Manage administrative tasks and workflow in designated in-basket pools.
  • Scan and upload necessary documents to the EHR as per protocols.
  • Balance payments and prepare deposit documentation.
  • Safeguard patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or administrative roles.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work within the hours of 8:30 AM - 5 PM EST.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for potential travel to other office locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic health records.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Administrative/Clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Customer Service experience in retail or hospitality.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Compensation for this role ranges from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. We comply with all minimum wage laws.
