Job Description

Role: DATA LEAD - ORACLE ERP DATA GOVERNANCE Contract to Hire Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Client is currently undertaking a multi-year ERP modernization program for migrating and upgrading on-premise Oracle E-Business Financials, and Oracle PeopleSoft Human Capital Management Applications, and Kronos Workforce Management System to the latest SaaS-based Oracle Cloud ERP Platform as part of business and technology transformation. The Data Lead - Oracle ERP Data Governance is responsible for the orchestration of migrating On-Premise Oracle E-Business and Oracle PeopleSoft data to Oracle Fusion Cloud and Business Intelligence Analytical Reporting to meet the business and technical requirements for the ERP Modernization Program. This position resides in ERP Portfolio Management of the Information and Technology Services (ITS) and reports to the Client ERP Portfolio Management Director. Responsibilities: Developing data governance policy, plans, and procedures with solid experience in developing data cleansing strategies, action plans, reconciliation plans and scripts. Good experience in understanding data models, data integrity and normalization rules, data extraction, load and transformation scripts. Functional experience to understand the business context of data in Oracle E-Business Financials and Procurement, and Oracle PeopleSoft HCM and Payroll and migrating the on-premises data to relevant Oracle Fusion Cloud Services. Determining the validity of the values of the data elements and reviewing and validating data relationships. Coordinating with data owners to validate cleansed data. Defining roles and responsibilities for the data migration activities. Establish policies, procedures around data governance including data retention, data archival and purging. Reviewing and providing comments and suggestions on the data management plan, data migration plan, checklist, timeline, and conversion report delivered. Documenting migration activity timelines for mock conversions and production deployment. Developing a data migration checklist and sign-off process to ensure completion of planned activities. Mapping the data in the format provided in conversion templates. Assisting with determining data migration security controls. Developing unit and end-to-end integration migration test plans. Validating data of multiple mock conversions and the full migration coordinating with unit and end-to-end integration testing. Documenting the end-to-end data migration test results and lessons learned report. Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications: Experience in migrating master data and transactional data from On-Premise Oracle E-Business and Oracle PeopleSoft to Oracle Fusion Cloud. Expertise in Data Migration of Master data and transactional data including Extraction, Cleansing, Transformation, Loading and Validation from Legacy systems to Oracle Fusion Cloud. Experience with Data Migration activities for Master Data such as COA, Employee, Suppliers, Assets etc., and Transactional and Historical data. Experience with Oracle Data Migration and integration processes. Experience in using ADFdi, FBDI, ETL, SQL and any third-party tools used for data migration. Ability to work with large-scale ERP program system integrators for timely completion of each phase. Experience in working with Oracle Financials, Procurement, Assets, Projects, Grants HCM and Time and Labor Cloud modules. Specialized in Payroll data conversion and reconciliation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Extensive interaction with functional and technical leads, business users, and SMEs. Type of Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required. A major in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Engineering is preferred. Master’s Degree preferably an MBA with a major in MIS, Human Resources Management, Finance or Accounting preferred. Type of Experience and Number of Years: At least 2 recent end-to-end full life cycle experience as a Oracle Fusion data migration lead. Experience utilizing Oracle and other industry leading ETL tools and technologies. 5+ years’ of experience in managing and leading Oracle Fusion Cloud Data migration workstream. At least ten (10) years of demonstrated experience leading ERP Data Migration activities. At least five (5) years of experience managing data migration activities for Oracle ERP Cloud Tech stack. Experience in Education (K-12) ERP Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation is preferred.
