Perform analysis, design, inspection of waterfront structures, asset management, submarine systems, and other maritime projects Structural analysis and design with timber, steel, concrete and composite materials Prestressed concrete analysis and design Develop plans, specifications, and calculations as needed Help resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations done by others, or general coordination of specific design aspects into a project Calculate construction quantity estimates Work closely with other architects, engineers, scientists, project managers, etc. on multi-discipline projects Perform structural site inspections and prepare inspection reports Other duties: Please note this job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis and 1-5 years of experience in Structural Engineering Or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with 0-4 years of experience EIT required Entry level candidates must have internship or cooperative education experience in heavy civil, structural, or marine/waterfront design Background on structural modeling with nonlinear elements and/or soil-structure interaction preferred Preferred experience using: AutoCAD

LPile MicroStation Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Availability and willingness to travel All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire Base salary range: $39.00 to $49.00 per hour based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description. Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California markets. Physical requirements: Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
