Location: Burbank, CA
Compensation: $95.00 – $120.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time, Possible Full Time Contract

We are currently hiring a  Certified Music Therapist. BC - MT is required. Board Certification.  Compassionate and experienced music instructors who are in teaching children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities and diverse learning needs. We work closely with students across the spectrum, including those on the autistic spectrum, ADHD, speech problems and other intellectual and physical disabilities.

About the Role:
All lessons are one-on-one and can take place either at our Burbank studio or in the student’s home—depending on your availability and preference. We serve students across the spectrum, including autism, ADHD, speech delays, and other intellectual or physical challenges. All instruments are welcome—piano, voice, guitar, violin, drums, saxophone, percussion and more—who are passionate about creating a supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Must have a Music Therapy Certification - AMTA and Board Certified
• Must have experience working with special needs students (minimum 1 year preferred).
• Must be kind, patient, and able to adapt teaching strategies to each individual student.
• Must play at least one instrument proficiently for teaching purposes.
• Must be reliable, communicative, and professional.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Must be available between 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (we will work with your availability).
• Must pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with behavioral or adaptive teaching strategies.
• Ability to teach more than one instrument is a plus.
• Board Certification in music therapy, special education, or a related field
