Accounts Payable (AP) Consultant (CONTRACT)
DFW, TX - Hybrid schedule 
$25-35/hr 

Growing and dynamic team is looking for a solutions-oriented AP project consultant with experience in process improvement streamlining. Ideal candidates will have progressive experience within A/P, system implementation experience, experience with AP aging reports, and positive mentorship style.

Will oversee the daily operations of the AP function across all U.S. entities and foreign subsidiaries. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, maintaining accurate AP aging reports, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the implementation of a new ERP system. This position will also play a key role in identifying and implementing process improvements, developing documentation and controls, and resolving reconciling items.

Responsibilities:

• Support ERP system implementation and other projects, with an emphasis on AP functionality and process optimization.
• Lead the month-end close process for accounts payable and ensure timely accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare reports and metrics for management, including aging summaries, payment forecasts, and KPIs.
• Monitor AP aging and ensure vendor balances and credits are accurately reflected and appropriately applied.
• Partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve service levels
• Lead the implementation, process improvement measures for concurrent projects in order to streamline the department
• Ensure that KPIs are implemented effectively and met consistently
• Identify areas for streamlining processes and developing enhanced analytics
• Utilize multiple systems and Microsoft Office
• Manage concurrent projects including goals and timelines
• Display positive and mentoring attitude
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

• 7-10+ years of A/P experience
• Microsoft Dynamics and Hyperion experience preferred
• Major ERP understanding, advanced Excel
• Thorough understanding of A/P
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects successfully
• Change management experience
• Team player who works well in a changing environment
