Payrate: $ 48.50 - $ 52.67/hr. Description: Ideal Candidate: B.S. and 5-8+ YOE. Must have cost accounting experience; experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Responsibilities include overseeing SOX controls and managing month-end closings. Candidates must be willing to take a hands-on approach to accounting, including actively performing data entries and other transactional tasks. Job Details: Monthly Close & Variance Analysis: Perform and review monthly accounting close activities, including variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manufacturing Site Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing sites to understand and analyze manufacturing variances, balance sheet reconciliations, and volume forecasts to ensure alignment with financial expectations. Inventory Reporting & Variance Analysis: Consolidate and report site inventory balances by product/site, performing detailed monthly variance analysis to identify and address discrepancies. Standard Costing & Updates: Participate in the annual standard costing process and manage ad hoc updates as required by distribution sites to ensure accurate costing data. Internal Controls & SOX Compliance: Exercise sound judgment, initiative, and a strong internal control focus when handling quarterly SOX process certification, including compiling, sampling, and reviewing control documentation. Audit Preparation & Support: Prepare and review audit schedules, responding to complex questions from internal and external auditors to ensure audit readiness and compliance. Process Improvement & Cross-Training: Identify opportunities to streamline assigned processes and cross-train with peers to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to proactively determine and implement continuous improvement opportunities to optimize the accounting close process. Special Projects & Global Accounting: Manage special projects requiring Global Accounting representation, such as company expansion, business acquisitions and divestitures, and financial system implementations. Outsourced Team Management: Lead and manage the outsourced provider team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting tasks and adherence to company standards. Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets: Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting Worked with Inventory SOX controls Preparation, analysis of Journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Day to Day Responsibilities: Sox control oversee and gather quarterly data Support the inventory accounting for Affiliates Review the work of outsourced resources Analyze, prepare and book entries and reconcile inventory related transactions Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $ 48.50 - $ 52.67 /hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select.
