Job Title: Translator- English to Portuguese
Location: Spring, Texas
Type: Contract
Compensation: $35 - $55 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Remote (local Houston area candidates only)

English to Portuguese Translator (Maritime Industry Focus) – Contract

Maritime client is looking to engage a professional English to Portuguese translator to assist with current and upcoming translation needs. This engagement will begin with proofreading four already-translated documents and may expand into full English-to-Portuguese translation work as we continue producing content.

What We’re Looking For:

• A professional translator fluent in both English and Portuguese
• Experience proofreading translated documents , with an eye for clarity, accuracy, and tone
• Familiarity with maritime terminology or experience translating content related to the maritime/shipping/logistics industries (preferred)
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines

Scope of Work:

• Immediate need: Proofread four Portuguese-language documents that were translated from English
• Ongoing: Potential for future full-length translation projects
• Comp: DOA but ideally $35-55/hr
