Tax Liason Accounting Assistant
Position Responsibilities/Duties:

The position is a little more than entry level, the applicant needs to have basic bookkeeping experience. A/P, A/R, bank account reconciling, knowledge of QuickBooks, able to multitask, pleasant disposition. Our business clients are all different types and levels of needs.

Income tax experience would be helpful. We currently use Lacert for tax returns. We would like someone that is up to learning and growing with this business and is looking for long-term employment.

• Process accounts payable, including data entry and coding of invoices, matching and batching
• Process accounts receivable, including data entry
• Prepare check runs
• Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements, credit card statements and other financial documents
• Maintain vendor W-9 files
• Support the accounting team with administrative assistance
• Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records for all transactions (hard copy and digital)
• Assists clients and co-workers, both on the phone and in person, with accounting matters.

Position Requirements
3+ years’ experience working in accounting, or a combination of education and job-related experience. Associate’s degree in accounting or related field a plus.

• The individual must be highly organized with good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and duties.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• QuickBooks a plus
