Job Description

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: Mount Carmel Home Infusion is seeking an experienced Sterile Compounding and program management Pharmacy Tech.

The Tech will perform Sterile Compounding, Inventory control, regulatory compliance.

This position is Monday - Friday at MCE.

*** prefer Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) , but not required.***

Position Purpose:

Lead provides support for the interview process, evaluation process, establishing schedules, and adjusting/communicating assignments.


Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Education: High School or GED required
  • Licensure / Certification: Approved Pharmacy Technician Certification. Active registration as a Certified Tech with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
  • Experience: 2 year minimum experience, 3-5 years of experience in hospital pharmacy preferred.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of supervision and onboarding
  • Thorough experience in all pharmacy operational areas; proficiency with internet based applications
  • Excel preferred
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage deadlines, organize and review work of other
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in an effort to continually improve quality and safety.

  • Relationship-based Care: Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience at Mount Carmel following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery system.
  • Oversee technician training, development, including identification and correction of deficiencies
  • Reviews and assists with the establishment of operational policies and standard work instructions
  • Assists with monitoring regulatory compliance (quality assurance, safety, USP 797/800, USP 795, joint commission standards, etc)
