The Professional Services Financials Senior or Principal Consultant will be tasked with ensuring the successful implementation of the Workday solution. They will provide Workday product and implementation expertise to their engagements. The Consultant will work with their clients to understand their business requirements and help configure and test the Workday solution. They will take direction and provide status to the Engagement Manager assigned to their project. Responsibilities include becoming a specialist in the Workday Financials product suite focusing on Procure to Pay functionalities including Workday Strategic Sourcing, leading design sessions for multiple financial functional areas, driving client business requirements, configuring and prototyping the Workday solution, demonstrating Workday features to clients, supporting client testing phases, assisting with data conversion, completing assigned work within budgeted time, assisting integration consulting team, learning and advising on Workday’s Deployment Methodology, ensuring compliance with checkpoints, mentoring new consultants, ensuring clients leverage Workday best practices and are referenceable, participating in training and ecosystem events, and providing status reports to the Engagement Manager. The role requires 6+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Principal) of financial solutions implementation experience, consulting experience, and experience with Workday or similar applications. Other qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, public sector industry experience, project management, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to handle multiple projects, business analysis skills, and willingness to travel 50% or more. The role supports Workday’s flexible work approach combining in-person and remote work.
