Responsibilities (Included by not limited to):Familiarity with and utilizing department design and drafting standards using AUTOCAD/Microstation or other standard industry CAD softwareRecognizing and communicating project scope, specifications, and design criteria upon assignment to a project task team.Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly.On-site assistance during start-upCoordinating work activities with other staff members and project leadsProducing 480VAC/Medium voltage equipment specifications with site SME and project teamDrawings to include single-line and equipment layoutsProducing electrical installation specifications and develop cost estimates/engineering scheduleParticipating in team or cross-discipline checks to ensure coordination between the design disciplinesChecking electrical/controls calculations to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practiceDetermining construction quantities and provide construction with BOMsIdeal Background:Associates degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting and/or Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and/or experience as an Electrical Designer/CAD drafter with significant industrial experience10+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and designFamiliar with 2D/3D AUTOCAD and/or MicrostationFamiliar with P&IDs and how to readFamiliarity with the current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for both lighting and power applications as well as perform voltage drop calcs route conduit and cable trayAbility to develop and advise on equipment specifications for 480VAC equipment such as motor control centers, variable frequency drivers, induction and synchronous motors, load center unit substations, etc. Ability to determine load center unit substation loadingAbility to give advice on the design of control packages including loop drawings, PLC/DCS panel wiring, etc.BenefitsCompetitive salaryVery generous PTOMedical, dental, vision insuranceFamily LeaveLife Insurance401(k) with company matchTuition reimbursement and licensuresGrowth opportunitiesTeam building events + local community involvement Our Core ValuesReliable Respected Relentless Willing InnovativeOur Core FocusSolving hard problems and building big things
