Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dedicated full-time special education teacher is needed to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a K-12 school setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to work throughout the school year, providing tailored instruction and support to enhance learning experiences for students on the autism spectrum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with ASD.
• Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with K-12 curriculum standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and counselors, to address students academic and behavioral needs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional growth.
• Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and address concerns.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in special education, with an emphasis on ASD preferred.
• Experience working with K-12 students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and assistive technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to student-centered instruction and continuous professional development.
