6 Month Contract - Potential for Extension/Conversion

Remote/EST

Our insurance client is seeking a SharePoint Developer to join their team in Newport Beach, CA. This is a contract role with onsite requirements a few times a week. Interested candidates should send their resume to Madeleine at [email protected] for consideration.

The role involves using SharePoint and Power Automate to design and develop a document management system for check-in/check-out of MS Office documents, utilizing templates stored in a separate library. Responsibilities include building views and dashboards (tabular, calendar, Gantt), creating data extraction capabilities from uploaded MS Word documents, designing UI forms for data entry, and managing related lists with varying relationships to the documents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the project from inception to completion, including knowledge transfer and transition to staff.
  • Analyze complex requests, independently design, build, test, and deploy software releases.
  • Provide technical leadership and recommend suitable technologies.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver functionality in stages across DEV and PROD environments.
  • Develop and maintain high-level requirements documents, elaborating details as needed.
  • Provide post-production documentation for maintenance and support.
  • Maintain task and defect lists, review them with the project owner during daily meetings.
  • Support issue management from identification to resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, both verbally and in writing, and be solutions-oriented.
  • Use judgment and initiative with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Create and update estimates for milestone delivery dates.

Experience:

  • Required experience with SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, and application integration.
  • 7+ years in application design, development, and testing within a Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
