Job Description

Beyond TalentEdge has a direct hire opportunity for an Engineer. Our client is a multi-site manufacturing company specializing in the Industrial, Medical, and Defense markets. Our client is utilizing the latest technology to enhance the job functions and speed to market to capture more business.

Responsibilities and Duties (include but not limited to):

• Interpret customer supplied drawings and determine the best method of manufacturing the equipment available and the current manufacturing schedule.
• Write work instructions in detail pertaining to any one of the fabrication processes.
• Utilize 3D CAD software to help shop floor employees better understand the manufacturing process of various parts.
• 3D model customer parts using their supplied drawings utilizing CAD software.
• Use 3D CAD software to flatten sheet metal parts and call out tooling requirements to the floor employees to increase set up efficiency.
• Program machines. (laser, turret)
• Work with employees on the shop floor to improve efficiency, safety, and quality of manufacturing processes.
• Support the shop floor in any fixture design / work holding suggestions and optimize quality outcome.
• Utilize Mastercam, SolidWorks, Radan, Epicor, or similar software when required, to communicate effectively to the shop floor.
• Maintain revision control of manufactured parts using our ERP system.

• Needs strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Confident decision-making ability
• Capable of participating in cross-functional settings and working with support
• functions, manufacturing, quality engineer, and facilities.
• Support cost reduction & continual improvement activities.
• Analyze raw data and generate usable reports.
• Knowledge of print reading and understanding of common GD&T practices.
• Understanding of common sheet metal fabrication practices.
• Knowledge of materials and their chemical and physical properties.

Salary & Benefits:

$65,000 - $80,000
