The Ad Councils Digital Media & Operations Center of Excellence is looking for a
Senior Manager, Digital Media (Contract Employee) who will help oversee end-to-end execution of programmatic campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience with hands-on-keyboard flight management and ad tech and client relationship management. This role works with outside vendors, digital media platform partners, and internal Ad Council teams to create strategy, encourage high-performing campaigns, and drive impact for pressing social issues.
Please note, this position is not intended to be activating campaigns hands-on-keyboard but will work closely with the internal team and freelance agencies managing these platforms as well as key internal and external stakeholders.
Compensation and Length of Engagement: This is a contract employee role. This means that, while the position is at all times one of at will employment, the Ad Council anticipates at present that the employment length would be approximately 6 months. Depending on experience, the compensation for this position is $8,400 - $9,000 monthly, paid semi-monthly. Contract employees receive a W-2 for tax reporting purposes and will be eligible to participate in limited benefits and paid time off. We are also open to this role being a fully remote position
What youll do: - Oversee media planning, execution, and reporting across programmatic platforms, including but not limited to The Trade Desk, DeepIntent, Amazon, and Vistar.
- Manage, and iterate processes with internal departments, media, and ad tech partners, and agency teams, streamlining communication and ensuring media dollars are spent efficiently.
- Assess campaign objectives and goals, creatives, flight timing, and key deadlines for programmatic media campaigns.
- Ensure agency teams are on track with campaign deliverables, including providing regular reports with key data points for holistic reporting out of media efficacy.
- Collaborate with Digital Media & Operations leadership to effectively manage relationships with our ad tech partners and agency advisors, supporting project management, account strategy and leading day-today relationship management.
- Track partnership engagement and pro bono and low bono service donations through CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Support the evolution and growth of the Ad Councils inclusive media program by exploring new diverse-owned inventory and ad tech partners in the paid programmatic space.
- Regularly work with Campaign Development and Finance to track quarterly paid programmatic forecasts, as well as any monthly billing/invoicing for the paid programmatic campaigns.
- Act as a subject matter expert for platforms and be prepared to answer broader platform questions while providing specific insight into performance expectations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and be prepared to create overviews of industry news and forward-thinking strategies for how this will impact Ad Council and our campaigns.
- Collaborate with the wider Digital Media & Operations team to strengthen and improve our planning and buying processes, helping to evolve Ad Councils digital media offerings.
What you bring: - 4+ years of digital advertising experience, ideally 2+ years at a media agency
- Hands-on-keyboard experience managing million-dollar+ programmatic campaigns
- Working knowledge of paid search and social
- Familiarity with CRM and project management software such as Salesforce and Asana
- Self-starter who excels in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced setting
- Apply a test-and-learn mindset to all tasks.
- Process-obsessed, but open to optimizing and iterating.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality, accurate results.
- Excellent project management, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Belief that no task is too small and an open desire to jump in and support teams whenever needed
