The Opportunity:

Your role at Sephora...  

As the Senior Industrial Engineer, you will provide support to Sephora Logistics regarding highly automated material handling systems, facilities improvement, ergonomic design, productivity and throughput, production methods and procedures, systems development and implementation and budgeting.

Essential Functions of Job:

• Support distribution-order fulfillment centers through the discovery, design, testing and implementation of improved procedures, systems, and equipment.
• Drives results through the development of cost benefit analyses and financial models to support DC requirements, designs, and alternative selections to existing systems.
• Collaborates with operations management team to implement changes in the operations to reach desired cost reduction and service improvements.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of automation systems and identify areas for further optimization. 
• Act as a contact for material handling equipment vendors.
• Develop and maintain labor standards and the productivity monitoring system for the DC’s.
• Perform time and motion to support production standards.
• Assist with capital improvement projects, including additional production lines or increased work volume and develop estimates for the equipment, systems, and personnel needed to complete various projects.
• Research ergonomic and safety issues in the analysis facilities and make recommendations for improvement.
• Provide technical support to the Maintenance, Operations, and I.T. departments within the facilities.

• Analyzes current operating plan to determine opportunities for improving the operations process and workflow .
• Develops Work Measurement to optimize operating plan .

• Conduct operations forecasting for staffing, assets, and facility need to ensure ability to meet service commitment.

We would love to hear from you if have… 

• Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)
• Five or more years of related industrial engineering experience, completing multi-variable work measurements and developing labor standards, process improvement, and network optimization projects within a distribution environment.
• Experience with WES/WMS/WCS systems, Labor Reporting Systems, MOST and Standards Pro.
• Experience with automation vendors AGV’s, GTP, racking systems a plus (e.g., KNAPP, Autostore, TGW, etc.)
• Previous experience with Distribution planning models (square footage, labor, staffing, etc.) and awareness of material handling technology applications is preferred.
• CAD, MS Office Suite with strong MS Excel skills, MS Access, and Visio.

The annual base salary range for this position is $110,840.00 - $123,880.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
