Floor & Decor Sr. Designer Salary Range: $19.75 - $30.95 The Floor & Decor Sr. Designer leads our design team and provides seamless, start-to-finish consultative design services that foster lasting relationships and brand loyalty. Responsibilities include meeting with customers, understanding their project needs, educating them on project requirements, and creating design concepts that reflect their personal style, lifestyle, and budget. Minimum Eligibility Requirements Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) Or 6 years of interior design experience in lieu of formal education Combination of education and experience totaling 6 years Preferred: prior retail/sales experience Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus Proficient in basic mathematical skills Self-motivated with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Internal candidates must have 24 months of experience as a Floor & Decor Designer Essential Functions Build and maintain strong relationships with residential and professional customers Greet customers and support design walk-in needs Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking, referrals, and store leads Provide advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetic solutions Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timeliness, maintaining clear communication Collaborate with store leadership and staff to manage projects from inquiry to installation Support company initiatives and model best practices Stay updated on current design trends Utilize design applications like Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler, MyProject Participate in professional affiliations such as ASID, NKBA Perform other duties as assigned Working Conditions Limited travel by car may be required Work environment includes warehouse settings and moving vehicles; noise level is moderate to noisy Physical & Sensory Requirements Medium work capacity: exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly. Frequent use of hands and fingers, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
