Job Description

As a Security Professional - Mall Desk in San Mateo, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer at a retail or mall location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring entry points, assisting guests, and remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will work collaboratively with others, reflecting our values of agility, reliability, and innovation, while always acting with integrity and putting people first.

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist visitors, tenants, and vendors at the front desk of the retail location, providing a welcoming and professional presence.

• Monitor access to the premises, verifying credentials and directing individuals as appropriate.
• Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or potential concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures, including emergency response protocols when necessary.
• Document incidents and daily activities as required by site guidelines.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to support a positive environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• California Security Guard Card required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
