As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the retail or mall setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including monitoring entrances and exits as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities and communicate with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of occurrences, incidents, and daily activities while on post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience in customer service-related roles is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
