Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Aero in Linthicum Heights, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. This armed post requires you to conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a secure environment by upholding our values of agility, reliability, and innovation, working collaboratively with your team, and always acting with integrity. This position involves carrying a sidearm and may require driving as part of your patrol duties.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $24.44 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security procedures and follow site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients and visitors.
• Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the aerospace and defense location, including both the business interior and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential threats to help to deter unauthorized access or incidents.
• Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as required during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and any actions taken during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License as required by state or local regulations.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet AU Driver Policy requirements.
• Must possess a valid Armed Sidearm and be designated as an Armed Security Professional.
• Must complete required Firearms Training - Initial (can be completed post hire).
• Must complete Firearms Acknowledgement (can be completed post hire).
• Must possess a valid Armed Handcuff certification or designation.
• Must possess a valid MD Armed Security Professional License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
