As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors as per site-specific procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors while maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment within the chemical or petrochemical facility.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or irregularities.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Communicate promptly with site supervisors, management, and/or emergency personnel regarding incidents or security-related concerns at the location.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
