Now Hiring Part-Time School Bus Drivers in Taftville, CT As a First Student Part-Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students you transport. You'll be there at the start of their day with before-school pickup, and again in the afternoon to bring them safely home.
No experience required - we're proud to train you using our industry-leading tools and technology.
Your day will include:
A split shift with morning pickup and afternoon drop-off
A typical range of 4 to 6 hours per school day*
Opportunities for extra hours through trips and charters
School Bus Driver Benefits:
$22.00/hour starting wage, up to $29.75 based on experience
Paid CDL training*
Attendance and safety performance bonuses (paid in December and June)*
Child-Ride-Along Program (ask location for details)*
Time off during school holidays
No nights or weekends
You might be a good fit if you:
Have strong verbal communication skills
Are at least 21 years old
Have held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years
Can pass a DOT physical and drug screen
