POSITION SUMMARY The
Risk & Underwriting Senior Analyst is responsible for managing a portfolio of international renewals and overseeing new business quoting activities.
The position focuses on driving growth through the acquisition and retention of large-case clients, ensuring competitive solutions and exceptional service throughout the process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Underwritesan inforce book of business and new business quotes, focused on attaining profitable growth, persistency, and earnings.
- Performs case-specific risk assessments.
- Responsible for account level rate development and conducting sales strategy discussions with internal business partners.
- Proficient with manual rating pricing methodologies and new business and renewal pricing strategies.
- Responsible for an assigned book of business consisting of accounts in our SME (Small-to-Medium Employer) segment.
- Works directly with Sales and Client Management teams on new business quotes and renewals, requires the ability to articulate our pricing strategies, risk concerns, and underwriting analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ years of underwriting, finance or related experience strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Analytical and financial acumen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Success in multi-tasking environment.
- Detail oriented and team player.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 56,700 - 94,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
