Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Risk & Underwriting Senior Analyst is responsible for managing a portfolio of international renewals and overseeing new business quoting activities.

The position focuses on driving growth through the acquisition and retention of large-case clients, ensuring competitive solutions and exceptional service throughout the process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Underwritesan inforce book of business and new business quotes, focused on attaining profitable growth, persistency, and earnings.
  • Performs case-specific risk assessments.
  • Responsible for account level rate development and conducting sales strategy discussions with internal business partners.
  • Proficient with manual rating pricing methodologies and new business and renewal pricing strategies.
  • Responsible for an assigned book of business consisting of accounts in our SME (Small-to-Medium Employer) segment.
  • Works directly with Sales and Client Management teams on new business quotes and renewals, requires the ability to articulate our pricing strategies, risk concerns, and underwriting analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of underwriting, finance or related experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Analytical and financial acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Success in multi-tasking environment.
  • Detail oriented and team player.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 56,700 - 94,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
