We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Scientist specializing in Biophysics to join our U.S. IDD Structural biology and Biophysics group. The successful candidate will lead cutting-edge small-molecule research projects, applying advanced biophysical techniques to support drug discovery and development efforts. Ready to get started? Main Responsibilities: Lead complex biophysical research projects in support of small-molecule drug discovery programs. Design and execute experiments using a wide range of biophysical techniques, including but not limited to: Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC), Circular Dichroism (CD), DSF, MST, Fluorescence spectroscopy. Analyze and interpret complex biophysical data to provide insights into protein-ligand interactions, protein structure, and drug mechanism of action. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medicinal chemists, structural biologists, biochemists, computational scientists, and therapeutic area scientists. Work closely with cell biology to enable in vitro/in vivo correlation. Stay current with the latest advancements in biophysical techniques and implement new methodologies as appropriate. Author scientific publications and present research findings at internal meetings and external conferences. About You Qualifications: Ph.D., M.S. in Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a closely related field. Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in biophysics, with a strong track record in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of biophysical techniques and instrumentation. Proven ability to lead complex research projects and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences.
