TexomaCare Practice Manager

Our experienced team of physicians is dedicated to caring for all members of the family at every stage of life. TexomaCare is comprised of primary care physicians and a variety of specialists in nine local communities. Texoma Medical Center is a 414-bed acute care facility located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. More than 3,500 employees, 400 multi-specialty physicians, and over 100 volunteers have helped to support the hospital in delivering quality, patient-focused care to the Texoma region for over 50 years.

Position Summary: Responsible for daily operations management and supervision of assigned practice(s) in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The practice manager will maintain regulatory compliance and is responsible for the maintenance of licenses/certifications, primary source validation, proper credentialing with the health system medical staff office, and payers. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (CBO, marketing, quality team, business development, finance, A/P, payroll, human resources, c-suite, facilities, vendors, corporate, and local administration) to ensure effective and efficient practice operations. The practice manager will be the primary practice liaison to internal and external stakeholders. Manages departmental expenses cost-effectively, monitors revenue cycle operations, volume, and revenue generation to assure practice budgets are met and provider subsidies are kept to a minimum. Participates in annual operating and capital budgeting and provider and employee recruitment, and onboarding. Demonstrates service excellence, conveys professionalism, and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics that align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 12 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required. In lieu of a degree, 5-7 years of healthcare experience with at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.

Work experience: 3-5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Knowledge: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, EMR systems, medical and billing terminology, healthcare/hospital office settings, service excellence, revenue cycle operations, and recruiting, training, leading, and performance management of staff.

Skills: Multitasking, decision making, process improvement, project management, interpersonal communication, leadership, computer proficiency, excellent customer service, and business savvy.

Abilities: Operate within the concept of patient-focused care.
