Job Summary

IMG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Photography Assistant to support our Director of Photography/In-House Photographer. This role is ideal for an aspiring photographer with a passion for interiors, real estate, and luxury design. The Photography Assistant will play a key role in assisting with photoshoots, editing images, organizing digital assets, and maintaining photography equipment. We are open to both part-time and full-time.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Photography in all aspects of photoshoots, including setup, styling, lighting, composition, and breakdown.
• Handle post-production tasks such as organizing and managing digital image files, photo selection, freelancer coordination, and minor retouching/color correction.
• Maintain and clean photography equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating shoots with various teams, including designers and marketing personnel.
• Stay up-to-date with photography trends and best practices to continually improve the visual quality of IMG’s work.
• Provide creative input and support in developing new photography concepts for marketing materials.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the photography department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or coursework in photography, visual arts, or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience assisting in a photography role, preferably in interiors, real estate, or commercial photography.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Lightroom.
• Strong understanding of lighting techniques and composition.
• Experience handling and maintaining professional photography equipment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to take direction and work both independently and collaboratively.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for luxury interior design.
• Physical ability to lift and transport photography equipment as needed.
• A professional and positive attitude with strong communication skills.
