Healthy Connections is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician at our Mena Community Pharmacy , where you’ll be a vital member of a collaborative team providing high-quality, community-focused care. You’ll work directly with licensed pharmacists and patients to ensure smooth, accurate prescription processing, insurance coordination, and more.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, pharmacists, insurance companies, and providers
  • Process prescriptions, assist with insurance verification, and handle prior authorizations
  • Maintain accurate medication inventory and check for expired stock
  • Coordinate prescription pickups and occasional deliveries
  • Prepare deposits, reports, and maintain required documentation
  • Uphold HIPAA, safety, and infection control standards
  • Support patients with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team communication
  • Travel locally as needed between clinics
What We’re Looking For
  • Active, unrestricted Arkansas Pharmacy Technician license (Required)
  • CPR certification
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general network systems
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required
  • Strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, and compliance standards

What are the hours and schedule like?
The Mena Community Pharmacy is currently open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Schedules align with these clinic hours, with no weekend or late evening shifts.

Will I have to travel or deliver medications?
Some travel or local medication delivery may be required, depending on patient needs or clinic logistics. These expectations will be clarified during the interview process and covered during training.

What kind of training is provided?
We will walk you through the systems and processes you’ll need to succeed. Our goal is to make sure new hires feel supported from day one.
