Pharmacist Highlights

• The pay for this position is based on experience.
• Monday–Friday schedule; standard business hours. Minimal overtime expected.
• Remote position.
• This position is a full-time, contract opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medication reviews and identify drug-related problems.
• Contact provider offices to discuss treatment options, particularly related to diabetes medications.
• Send medication therapy letters to providers.
• Monitor drug therapies, review prescriptions for therapeutic incompatibilities, and recommend interventions.
• Oversee technician workflow, verifying preparation and labeling accuracy.
• Counsel patients and healthcare professionals on pharmacological treatments and drug interactions.
• Participate in staff education, mentoring interns/residents, and enhancing pharmacological knowledge within the team.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, DEA, FDA, and board of pharmacy regulations.
• Stay updated on pharmacological trends via continuing education and professional publications.

Requirements

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy (Florida, New Mexico, or Texas preferred).
• Must be able to obtain licensure in required states within 6 months, including: AL, AR, ID (registration), KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, NE, OK, OR, TN, and WV.
• 0–2 years of experience required.
• Must have experience with COA MR (Comprehensive Medication Review) and SUPD (Statin Use in Persons with Diabetes).
• Medicare/STARS or health plan experience, provider outreach/calling experience.
• Strong Word and Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation platforms.
