Department: Cosmetology Opening Date: 06/05/2025 Closing Date: 8/31/2025 11:59 PM Eastern For part-time/adjunct faculty only:: N/A (not a PT faculty role) Projected average hours of work per week:: 25 to 30 Required Cover Letter and Resume: Resume General Function Plans and organizes the activities of assigned program areas; provides responsible staff support to the administrator; manages the activities of faculty and staff; may interface with external customers to determine current training needs. Organizes and supports divisional processes such as accreditation and licensing board agreements, summer camps, Open House events, expansion of noncredit programs, etc. Duties and Responsibilities Assists the faculty and leadership in developing and implementing new noncredit courses or programs to meet the hiring needs of the community. This would also include the continuing education needs of our recent graduates. Uses data to make informed decisions on the success of program selections. Supports the recruitment and interviewing of new noncredit instructors and may provide orientation for new instructors, evaluates trainer/instructor performance using course evaluation data. Investigate and communicate instructor qualifications as needed. Understands and supports documentation for new student orientations, licensing board documents and reports, facilitates inspections for sanitation grades, and proofs class schedule for accuracy as needed. Collaborates with Associate Deans to confirm workload and contract requirements for CCE workloads. Understands and supports the noncredit registration process, FTE earnings, scholarship process, and sponsor desk process to support student registration as needed. Understands and supports the required process for cosmetic arts program requirements. Maintain program handbook, faculty onboarding, and procurement processes for salon and classroom lab supplies. Point of Sale support for salon revenue reports for end-of-day and reconciliation. Collaborates with Business Workforce Liaison to develop course or program costs, makes recommendations to an Associate Dean or Dean of OE or self-supporting, and tracks budgets for both of these areas. Initiates the marketing of noncredit program areas; works with marketing staff to update the website and prepares marketing materials and literature for distribution to potential students; makes presentations to schools, organizations, and agencies as needed. Ensures CCE end-of-course documentation requirements are completed efficiently. Completes required course audits and reviews course content to ensure compliance with college standards and updated content to ensure courses stay relevant to community needs. Performs syllabi audits and ensures LMS is utilizing the most up-to-date template and requirements. Reviews the need for equipment, supplies, and instructional materials and recommends purchase for new courses or programs; understands programmatic options to optimize synergies between credit and noncredit courses. Makes recommendations to Associate Deans or Dean. Tracks and reports student job placement, exam applications, and pass rates if applicable for all noncredit and credit courses with a formal process. Helps coordinate and market summer camps and open house events and tracks students for future enrollment at Central Piedmont. Designs and delivers sales presentations to business and industry partners with Business Workforce Liaison as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited institution in Cosmetology or business area and a minimum of 2 years of work experience or teaching experience in cosmetic arts or community college Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field.
