JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Recreation, Parks and Tourism Management Department (RPTM) is currently seeking a part-time data technician. This position consists mainly of weekends with some weekdays available, starting immediately.
Job Duties:
- Conduct fact-to-face interviews
- Conduct visitor counts at various locations in the Pinchot and Weiser State Forests
Requirements and qualifications:
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently in remote locations
- Responsible individual with a polite, courteous, and friendly demeanor
- Willingness and ability to drive long distances
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Knowledge and skill in written/oral communication
- Ability to conduct interviews with recreation users
- Coordinate data collection with project supervisor on a daily basis
- This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
- Must be available to work weekends
