About the Role

A reputable organization in the Newburyport area is seeking an experienced Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) to oversee capital construction and renovation projects, with a strong focus on public K–12 educational facilities.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can represent the owner's interests throughout all phases of planning, design, and construction. Experience working on Massachusetts public school projects is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery on behalf of the owner, from concept through occupancy
• Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders including school committees, architects, engineers, and contractors
• Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and quality standards
• Assist with MSBA coordination and compliance when applicable
• Prepare and oversee RFP/RFQ processes for design and construction services
• Ensure compliance with public procurement laws and building codes
• Monitor construction progress, review documentation, and report regularly to clients

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably as an OPM for public construction
• Proven track record with vertical construction; K–12 school project experience strongly preferred
• Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
• In-depth knowledge of Massachusetts public construction laws and procurement processes
• Strong leadership, documentation, and communication skills
• Familiarity with MSBA processes is a plus
