Nurse Scheduler

** Pay rate $20.40/hour **

What will I do as a Nurse Scheduler with Genacross?

• Prepares/completes, maintains and displays the schedule for the nursing staff in compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations.
• Approves shift trades and pick-ups for nursing staff in compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Works to fill vacancies once schedule has been posted in compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Assists in the approval/denial of PTO requests for nursing staff in compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Schedules floor training for new nursing staff.
• Assists in establishing appropriate staffing levels in compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Maintains accurate records for the No Fault Absenteeism Policy for nursing staff in compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Prepares, places and completes orders for supplies and equipment for the ministry as needed through appropriate approval within budgetary guidelines or defined departments.
• Distributes, stores and maintains supplies and equipment to for defined departments and gains acknowledgment of receipt in compliance with applicable local, state and federal guidelines.
• Tracks and inventories owned or leased supplies and equipment and notifies vendors and contractors of necessary returns.
• Inputs invoices as it relates to budgets and spend downs.
• Reports allegations of abuse/neglect and reports, as appropriate, to proper organization leadership.
• Reports hazardous incidents, including but not limited to, injuries, equipment, etc. to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor.
• Implements and follows disaster plans in the event of an emergency.
• Accepts direction of charge nurse in relation to direct resident care.

Nurse Scheduler Requirements:

• Current State of Ohio STNA certification.
• 1-2 years of experience in long-term care setting preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn new software application as required by the position
• Requires excellent organizational skills and good judgement skills.
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives, managers, supervisors and direct care staff, as well as residents, families and physicians.
• Understands directions; communicates and responds to inquiries promptly.
