Essential Functions ?
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of the nursing process
• Plans and implements patient care and teaching based on the total assessment and the age of the patient.
• Develop plan of care that is individualized for the patient needs reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team, the patient, and the family as appropriate.
• Evaluates and documents the patient response; monitors and recognizes changes in physiological and psychosocial status; taking appropriate action based on the assessment of the patient.
• Participates and cooperates in the unit-based Quality Improvement process.
• Supports, maintains, and provides an environment which is supportive of quality patient care based on best practice using a holistic approach to care, and by adhering to effectively using resources and personnel.
• Practices, develops, and endorses customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.
• Serves as patient and family advocate with respect to the patient’s right to privacy, autonomy, and dignity by protecting confidentiality of information.
• Formulate individualized teaching and educational plan based on identified learning need and evaluate the effectiveness of learning including the patient and family as appropriate.
• Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meeting, workshops and shows responsibility for own professional practice and ongoing education.
Job Requirements ?
Minimum Education
Must posses a current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Tennessee.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required.
(BLS may be obtained within first week of patient care following orientation)
(ACLS & PALS may be obtained within six months of patient care following orientation)
Required Skills
Licenses: Current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Tennessee.
