JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal E&H Integrated Systems Network Engineer/Cybersecurity/VoIP candidate is one that is a proactive, engaged self-starter with excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to excel in fast paced environments. He or she should be confident, approachable, have excellent communications skills, and can meet high level of expectations. Excellent customer service and being a people person are the right skills, as well as a can-do attitude. This position requires a structured, organized, and detail-oriented individual that can prioritize and motivate others.

An E&H Network Engineer is a leader with a proven track record of successfully collaborating in a team environment with Sales and Customers to find creative solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of customers' software systems, Network/VoIP/Telephone Systems, along with E&H's internal systems. The daily responsibilities of a Network Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Develop and deploy Managed Service Provider (MSP) practices to new and existing clientel
• Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable network systems using technology from a variety of vendors within virtualized, converged, and cloud infrastructures including Cloud, AWS, and Azure.
• Deploy, configure, and manage firewalls and switches from a variety of vendors including Cisco/Meraki and SonicWall
• Design and implement multi-site connectivity for E&H customers
• Create and execute transformation paths for production systems to new platforms or standards for customers
• Engineer, implement, and support network new server/cloud infrastructure, network infrastructure, and VoIP solutions for customers using technologies that meet their needs
• Assist in developing and maintaining best practices for project proposals with Sales Team
• Communication with customers and internal team members as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
• Enter all work as service and project tickets into E&H Internal Systems and account for all time with detailed time entries on tickets.
• Efficiently research and learn unfamiliar systems
• Assist Technicians with troubleshooting methodologies

SPECIFICATIONS

Required Skill Set

• 3+ years of relevant IT experience in Azure/AWS Cloud Based Hosting Deployments, Network Infrastructure, and VoIP
• 3+ Years of VoIP System experience
• 2+ Years experience in network engineering with emphasis on hybrid IT and multi-cloud network design, interconnection, edge networking, and SD-WAN
• 1+ years of experience with local and wide area network security
• Knowledge of IP networking design concepts and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS
• Experience with network automation and programming preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and implement complex systems
• Ability to identify signs of problems or out of scope items and bring to attention of Team Leader/Manager
• Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written to a wide range of end-users
• Skill in planning and preparing written communications
• Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
• Ability to work on a team and communicate effectively.
• Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
• Effective at time management and establishing budgets for projects.
• Experience working in a Managed Service Provider environment is a plus

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field of study
• Industry certifications are a plus
• Experience working for a Managed Service Provider is a plus
• Experience with Avaya is a plus
• PDE - Pay Dependent upon Experience
