Job Description

Job Summary: The Network Administrator will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the IT needs of the company across multiple locations.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Configure and implement company network and evaluate network for performance, issues, planning, installations, policies, and procedures.
• Perform variety of network management functions related to the operation, performance, or availability of data communications networks.
• Analyze client LANs/WANs, isolate source of problems, and recommend reconfiguration, and implementation of new network hardware to increase performance.
• Modify command language programs, network start up files, assign/reassign network device logicals, participate in load balancing efforts throughout the network to achieve optimum device utilization and performance.
• Establish new user accounts on the network granting access to required network files and programs.
• Manage network email functions; establish mailboxes and monitor mail performance on the network.
• Troubleshoot network/user problems, present resolutions for implementation.
• Serve as overall subject matter expert on Network Administrator technology and market capabilities/trends.
• Design and implement secure network and application delivery solutions providing high availability to hosted customer applications.
• Troubleshoot issues related to network and application performance to assist in resolving issues impacting hosted applications.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to transform high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements.
• Formulate detailed network, storage, and compute design specifications for stable and secure computing operations in a dynamic cloud-based environment.
• Make recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability, and performance across a wide variety of network, storage, and compute technologies.
• Ensure network security.
• Implement and maintain network upgrades.
• Keep current with technology and education.

• On call is required, but limited.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree, required.
• 5+ years of experience as Network Administrator, required.
• VMWare experience, required.
• Active Directory experience, required.
• Hands-on hardware and software experience, required.
• Plex ERP experience, preferred.
• Accounting, Database, Design, and HR software knowledge, preferred.
