Our MBA Leadership Development Program (LDP) builds on that strength and vision. It is designed to develop top MBA graduates (LDP associates) and MBA students (LDP summer interns) through strategic assignments, high visibility assignments and partnership with our senior management team. Our Leadership Development Program challenges the best to become extraordinary financial services leaders with impact throughout Western & Southern Financial Group and in our surrounding community.
Responsibilities
LDP internships give candidates a realistic preview of life as a full-time LDP associate at Western & Southern Financial Group. The internship lasts 10-12 weeks during the summer between years one and two of a student's MBA program. LDP interns work on projects of the same magnitude as those assigned to LDP associates giving them the same fast-paced, exciting opportunities.
As an LDP intern, you report to the senior officer of your assigned operation and meet with business unit heads throughout Western & Southern Financial Group. Your summer assignment focuses on business deliverables for strategic initiatives within your assigned unit and culminates in a presentation to senior management.
Our LDP program is small and select, and LDP interns receive a generous share of our senior leaders time and attention. You report directly to the most senior officer responsible for your assigned operation. In addition, a member of senior management is selected as your coach and mentor your advocate throughout the program to ensure your experiences effectively prepare you for a leadership role.
The goal for each of our LDP interns is to offer them a full time role as an LDP Associate at the end of the summer. The LDP Associate role has a three year rotation. After successfully completing three years of rotational assignments throughout Western & Southern Financial Groups family of companies, LDP associates are promoted to officer-level positions. Placement is based on your career interests and passions as well as organizational needs. With solid academic MBA backgrounds and three years of strategic exposure to our businesses, LDP alumni are well prepared for the next level of leadership within our organization.
