Competitive Pay: This position offers a hourly wage ranging from $22.21/hr. to $34.68/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

As a  Manual Machinist , you will run manual machines, including conventional open face lathes, Bridgeport mills, grinders, drill presses and other shop equipment, to recreate parts made-to-order, replace parts of machinery, or perform cleaning and preventative maintenance on those specialized machines in the shop. You will perform the set-up, adjustments, and operation of manual machinery. You will interface with the design team or other engineers and the customer to make sure all specifications are being met. Primary hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, may be adjusted due to business needs.

What You'll Do:

\n
• Run manual machines including conventional open face lathes, Bridgeport mills, grinders, drill presses and other shop equipment.
\n
• Ensure equipment is effectively utilized to efficiently accomplish all work.
\n
• Complete shop orders with the highest quality standard.
\n
• Interpret job specification blueprints and job orders to determine machine adjustment and material requirements; will work from drawings and manufacturing routers to produce parts in accordance with specifications.
\n
• Ensure daily production data, labor and quality recording is accurately compiled and reported daily.
\n
• Continuously improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
\n
• Perform deburring operations on machined parts.
\n
• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions.
\n
• Performs complete preventative maintenance of machines.
\n
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety requirements.
\n
• Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.
\n

What You'll Need:

\n
• The ability to set up and operate manual lathe and Bridgeport mills is required.
\n
• High school diploma or GED.
\n
• 3+ years related experience and/or training.
\n
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, drawing or other specification and work in 10th of thousands.
\n
• Ability to machine various materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless, and specialty alloys.
\n
• Ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, height gage, electronic gages as well as hard go/no go gauging.
\n
• Ability to perform complex mathematical processes to execute machine settings and corrective actions.
\n

Bonus Qualifications:

\n
• Knowledge of PC and ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook) and help other with these tasks
\n
• Experience using Hoist and Cranes
\n
• Ability to work on electrical components
\n
• Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Systems and Programs
\n
