What You'll Do

We're seeking a hands-on and analytically strong Valuations and Forecasting Lead to develop and manage our lease portfolio valuations and forecasting frameworks. This role will directly support strategic decision-making by providing robust predictions of future portfolio performance. Your work will inform credit policy management, pricing, financial planning, capital management, and long-term strategy.

You'll work cross-functionally with our Finance, Capital Markets, and Data Science teams to ensure alignment with the broader corporate financial model. We're looking for someone excited to roll up their sleeves—building models, owning the codebase, interpreting results, and delivering insight. In this role you will:

• Build, own, and maintain a portfolio valuations model to estimate lease lifetime value.
• Quantify the impact of pricing, underwriting, and credit policy decisions on key valuation drivers such as delinquencies, prepayments, and early buyouts.
• Develop a forecasting model to estimate KPIs such as payments, cash flows, and charge-offs under multiple economic and business scenarios.
• Lead loss forecasting efforts by designing models that reflect the dynamic effects of macro conditions, credit mix, and business strategy.
• Develop scenario analyses to support strategic planning, stress testing, and capital adequacy assessments.
• Partner closely with Finance to ensure the valuation model supports planning and budgeting processes.
• Deliver clear presentations and insights to senior stakeholders, including risk, finance, and executive leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement of the model's accuracy, usability, and alignment with evolving business needs.

About You (Qualifications)

• 4-8 years of experience in credit risk modeling, valuation, forecasting, or related financial analytics—ideally in consumer lending or lease-to-own finance.
• Bachelor's degree required, in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or Engineering preferred
• Strong foundation in finance (e.g., forecasting, NPV analysis, capital planning, or asset-backed lending concepts).
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and preparing structured datasets.
• Deep understanding of forecasting techniques and model development best practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, a growth mindset, and a passion for building practical, business-aligned solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with a bias for action.
• Location Requirement: This position requires regular in-person attendance at one of our two office locations (Richmond, VA or Arlington, VA). Candidates must already be located within a commutable distance to either location, as relocation assistance is not available at this time.

• Familiarity with lease to own products.
• Experience with Python.
• Understanding of portfolio risk modeling or credit loss estimation.
• Exposure to corporate financial planning and integration of operational models with FP&A workflows.
